7 Kyoto is sold as environmental defibulation, but stinks of a leftish agenda to redistribute wealth, but is in reality a huge scam for those promoting it to make a killing. Let's face it, when the layoffs happen, it will be in automotive (my God I agree with Buzz), mining, forestry, energy, transportation....it sure as hell is not going to be in the environmental fields. So the next time a moonbat tells you that there will be no economic consequences to Kyoto, they mean to their own pocketbook, because they are the only ones that matter.

8 Can't speak for Sage or Climate Action but I doubt Pembina has much to worry about... They generally run a pretty tight ship. Bramley's comes across a little extremist but thats only because he recognized the that the prinicple in politics is you ask for the moon and hopefully you compramize down to what you actually want. I doubt Bramley really gives a crap about meeting Kyoto targets... he'll consider it a success if the captital depriciation is removed from the oil sands and some target on oil and gas development is enforced. He's also well aware that the Conservatives are introducing legislation with far stricter controls than Dion was ever considering. Most of Pembina's rhetoric is to keep the pressure on Harper to ensure follow through... I bet secretly Bramley's delighted with the conservative plans.

I downloaded this guide last year when garth was still a Conservative. I read it completely. I don't see any changes to the guide you posted compared to the guide he published while a conservative. It has a lot of common sense things in it. What's wrong with that?

The point is that either Garth was lying when as a Conservative he wrote that it was a flawed billion dollar plan that would do nothing, or as a Liberal he is deliberately ignoring a billion dollar waste just because it is in the Liberal platform. Garth can't make the (weak) case that he now supports (or at least, doesn't oppose) Kyoto because he has never looked into it, or isn't sure of the implications - he is on record that it is a waste of billions of dollars; was that his considered opinion, or was he blowing smoke? Has Garth decided that a billion dollar feel-good program is a good use of taxpayer funds, or that Kyoto would actually achieve its stated aims? If so, he might be kind enough to fill us in on his thinking - if he did any.
